Research Interest
Dr. Preisner focuses on finding the best way to employ simulation for learning procedures commonly performed by internists.
Educational Interest
Dr. Preisner is interested in creating learning-rich environments by developing simulation courses for joint aspirations and injections and paracentesis. She has been involved in creating procedure-rich learning environments, such as the primary care procedure clinic at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. In addition, she teaches musculoskeletal physical examination workshops for medical residents, taken by all first-year medical residents during their ambulatory block.
