Clinical Interest
Dr. Reitschuler-Cross's clinical work involves treating patients with serious and life-limiting illnesses. She aims to treat the entirety of patients' needs, including the many medical, psychological, and social aspects their illnesses affect. She also strives to be an advocate for her patients and their families in these times of increasing medical and systematic complexity. The focus of her work is patients with cancer. In addition to her general inpatient palliative care service, she has an outpatient palliative care clinic at Magee Women’s Hospital.
Educational Interest
Dr. Reitschuler-Cross joined the faculty at the University of Pittsburgh in 2012 and has served in several educational roles at graduate and post-graduate levels. Most recently, she became Assistant Program Director of the Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship in 2022.

Medical education is a deep passion of Dr. Reitschuler-Cross, who is committed to the learning and enrichment of students, fellows, and colleagues. This has led her to work on several projects and initiatives, particularly in the area of communication skills.
